Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Happy Birthday Lukers!

I think I may be the worst mother in the world. I finally got my act together and had a first birthday party of sorts for Luke. It is only 2 months late. I have been meaning to do one, but all of everyone's schedules never matched up and then it just didn't. So he has actually had a couple of different parties that I will put pics from in his book and then he will think he had the most ultimate party ever. Shhh, don't tell!

Another Halloween :)

Yes, it is past Halloween now, but I haven't posted anything in months so that shouldn't surprise.  I thought that I should post pics of my kiddos Halloween costumes because they were cute . . . pretty much the only reason :)
We spent this year Halloween in Fairview because I wasn't sure if Vernal had a "trunk-or-treat" and I don't like Halloween anyway so if my kids are going to get any Halloween joy, it will be through a conveyor belt style of trick-or-treating. It was a success though and everyone loved Cambria's costume. I found the idea online and think it turned out pretty well :)

There are so many other things that I should be doing right now instead of wasting time on the computer. Sometimes you just have to say to heck with it all and have one of those days. Today is such a day. This morning Cam climbed into bed with me and fell asleep. I woke up shortly after to find that she had climbed the kitchen cupboards , gotten the chocolate frosting and proceeded to paint everything in my house a nasty brown hue. She was so proud of herself though that it was impossible to get mad at her. Like they say, don't get mad, take pictures :)

Rob finally started with Halliburton last week and so far likes it. . .I guess. He is still in that boring new hire phase of just doing paperwork and safety and stuff like that. All very much needed, but a little boring at the same time.

Another piece of news, Luke has finally decided to sit up on his own! Yay! He hasn't before and it was driving me crazy!

We Made It!

We are back! I don't have enough energy to figure out how to size these pics better, but they give you an idea of what kind of fun we are having in Vernal :) We have been here for 5 days and I love it! We packed up everything and headed off. Grandma and Grandpa Anderson took the kids to a track meet sot hat Rob and I could work on getting up here and unload as much as we could without kiddos getting in the way. We got here and found that the gas had been shut off even though our landlady assured us that it would be on. So, needless to say, it was freezing here and we had no hot water! Chilly!!! We got everything unloaded and started to unpack. My mom, dad, Tara and Kyle came up to help us which was a lifesaver. . .although Rob and I had unloaded the Uhaul by the time they got there. . . :)

Life has been good here so far. The people are really friendly here and everyone just eats these kids up. Cam cracks everyone up Luke's smile will turn the grumpiest old man happy :)

Speaking of my happy boy, we are taking him to a pediatric GI specialist tomorrow and I am so nervous about it. He is in the 63 % for height but less than 2% for weight so he really off balance. He is still projectile vomiting like mad which is why we got the referral to go see a specialist. I am so relieved but every time we take him to the Dr. there seems to be nothing but bad news. I am trying to feel optimistic about this one though. It is his specialty to figure out the insides of kids, right? I can't believe the stress and the heartache and the frustration and anger that has come with dealing with this for almost seven months. It is heartbreaking to see my little boy, who is the happiest baby I have ever seen, having to go through this. Tomorrow will hopefully give us some answers. . .

Rob starts his job on Monday and we are so excited for that! It will be a lot of time away and long hours, but we are grateful for him to have this job.

I have decided that since we don't live by any family anymore that I will try harder to keep up on this and do better in the blog world than I have been, but for now the kiddos are needing to be put to bed. . .

Been awhile :)

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. The combination of my camera being lost and Luke and Cam, it is a little bit crazy around here. I just thought that I would post a couple pictures of my cute kiddos and write something interesting later.

We have a September baby!!!

Luke decided to join us a little early :) three weeks early and I can't complain! He was born on September 26 and weighed 7lbs 4 oz and was 18 inches long. Cambria is totally in love with him, too much sometimes. She loves to give him hugs and kisses, not all of which are appreciated by her baby brother. Our little family of three has grown to a family of four :)

What a busy summer this has been! I don't think that we have slept at our house more than 2 nights this whole summer! It has been so much fun though and it makes the time go by fast, which I am grateful for. I didn't really believe anybody when they said I would be so hot and miserable being pregnant during the summer, but I totally am!!! October can't get here soon enough! Other than running around always, not a lot new has happened for us, just living life. Rob didn't draw out for his hunt, but I'm not too sad about that because now he will for sure have no excuses to not be there when the baby comes. Cam's new favorite thing is to type on the computer. She will do it forever if I would let her. Not sure if that is such a good thing or not, but it does keep her entertained for a good while :)

SUMMER!

Summer is finally here and I just realized that it has been 6 months since I have last posted anything. I would love to say that is because nothing has happened to us that is very exciting, but I would be lying. Life is crazy busy for us between work and all the outdoor stuff that Rob wants to fit in. We discovered that in October we are going to be adding another member to our family! Rob is thrilled that he is going to be getting his little boy :) October can't get here soon enough! As with last pregnancy, this one didn't come without its challenges. I was diagnosed with SPD again (symphysis pubis dysfunction) all those fancy words basically mean that my pelvis isn't being held together anymore. Good times :) It is as awful as it sounds but it left after I had Cam so we are hopeful that this time it leaves as quick this time. I can't figure out for the life of me how to change the pictures from being sideways and it is making me mad, so you will just have to deal. At least they are up :)

We finally got around to doing our family pictures. I have no idea how to get the pictures to do what I want them to do and I have no patience in trying to figure it out! Oh well. There are more, but this dumb thing won't let me add them. I give up!!!

Just a Swingin'

While we were at Kayden's birthday party, I looked around and realized that I had lost my family :( Rob had snuck away with Cambria to play on the swings. Too cute :) I also have no idea how to turn the picture the right way up.

What Now?

Kopi is home finally!!! It is so good to have her back but so sad at the same time. We have to keep her in a kennel so she won't run around on her other leg. I would say it is more of a pain than worth it, but that would be so mean of me :)

Cambria and Kopi

It is so fun to have a baby girl and a baby puppy :) They love playing with each other and it is so cute! When we first got Kopi, all she wanted to do was curl up in the carseat on Cambria's lap. Cambria would just giggle and smile so big at the pup sleeping on her. Last week Kopi got ran over by our neighbors and we took her to the vet. Originally he said she had one broken leg and I thought ,"Ok, normally I wouldn't spend any money on a dog, but I actually paid for this dog so she is worth fixing." So he did surgery on her and xrays and found 2 other broken bones. He went ahead and fixed those too. If I would have known that, we would have put her down instead of having to make her go through this and paying for it. So now I have a 3 month old puppy with 2 broken femurs and a broken tibia. Wow. What a pretty penny that will be. A few pretty pennies actually. All because I am and a sucker and love that little dog. So she is still down there in 'recovery' mode. Cambria has been so sad without her little buddy here. :( (Well, that is what I am blaming her crabbiness on). We get to pick her up on Friday so the pair will be reunited again! Why oh why? I wish the Dr. would have told us the situation before he fixed the other leg because it is stupid to pay for 3 broken legs even if she is the best hunting dog on the planet. Sheesh. That is my rant. The end.

Rob's Shop

I finally got around to taking pictures of Rob's shop. Not very big, but just what he needs :)

The Good Things in Life :)

Cambria has been introduced to the wonderful world of the Oreo cookie!

Monday, August 24, 2009

I don't really have much to say but I was getting jealous of everyone else having something to post so I will make something up. :)
Life around here is so wonderful I can hardly stand it. Rob has finally taken off on his own with gunsmithing and is crazy busy with that. He is so happy to be doing what he loves and it makes things so much easier that way. He is still finishing getting the final touches done on everything but it is going really well so far. He is also gone most of the time with elk hunting. I have become used to the idea of being a widow for a few months out of each year. He also got a new hunting dog which loves Cambria and won't stay away from her :) She gets so excited when Kopi is around though so I don't mind that they take naps together.
Cambria has finally learned to sit up and prefers it that way. She doesn't like to be lying down because then she misses all the really cool stuff. We are working on getting her to crawl which I hope is any day now. She will get on her hands and knees and rock back and forth but hasn't quite figured out how to move her hands. I know most of the moms will say enjoy this time while you can and you will wish she went back to not being able to move but I am so excited for her to be a little more independent. It is so fun and rewarding to see each new stage that she is going through :) She will be 6 months old on the 26th!
So life is busy in Fairview but we wouldn't want it any other way!

Yelling is Just NOT Sensible

Sometimes life just seems to creep by. Like this moment for instance. I am waiting ever so paitienly for Rob to get home and take Cambria a resonable distance away from me. He went shooting after work with some buddies. All this while Cambria sits in the next room yelling whatever baby obscenities she has picked up from her gang of boy friends. Moments like these never ever ever seem to end but then she is already 3 months old and that time has flown by. So here I must go to teach the young one that yelling, yes yelling not crying, Cambria has no idea how to cry but has mastered the skill of yelling. Anyway I must go try to explain that there are better ways of getting what you want out of life than yelling. Yeah right.

Sometimes it is Just the Truth

Oh how life has changed in this past month! Rob and I have almost perfected our aim for when Cambria throws up, Cambria has decided that being awake all night really isn't a sensible thing after all, and Rob got his machinery! We are still waiting on his FFL to come back, but he has already had a few people talk to him about making custom guns! He is so excited to actually be doing something that he loves instead of something that he feels he has to. Cambria and I are just trying to keep the house under control which is proving to be harder than I thought. We are finishing the basement and it is taking forever! Sometimes it is hard to rely on other people but there really isn't any way around that until I learn how to lay carpet:)
